Our Story

Making Scars Inkredible Since 2023

The Inkredible Foundation was officially founded in 2023 following years of voluntary scar cover-up work supporting people affected by illness, trauma, surgery and life-changing experiences.

What began as offering free tattoo work gradually developed into something far bigger — a supportive community built around confidence, understanding and connection.

Our Community

While tattooing remained at the heart of The Inkredible Foundation, the real strength became the community itself.

Over the years, people came together through shared experiences, friendship and support. What started as a charity offering free scar cover-up tattoos gradually grew into a welcoming community where individuals could connect with others who truly understood their journeys.

Through fundraising events, charity calendars, cabaret performances, quiz nights, wellbeing activities, social gatherings and online support, friendships were formed and confidence rebuilt.

The Inkredible Foundation has always been about far more than tattoos. It has been about helping people feel seen, supported and proud of who they are.

Confidence Through Visibility

One of the most powerful projects undertaken by The Inkredible Foundation was the creation of a series of charity calendars featuring individuals who had received scar cover-up tattoos.

For many participants, the calendars provided an opportunity to celebrate their journeys, share their stories and proudly showcase their tattoos. The project helped challenge perceptions, raise awareness and inspire others facing similar experiences.

The calendars also played an important role in fundraising and helping the charity continue its work within the community.

The image shows several calendar covers from different years, including 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026, featuring groups of women with various tattoos and festive or artistic attire. The calendars are associated with The Inkredible Foundation, which supports making scars incredible, and Breast Cancer Support Group, with some featuring holiday-themed outfits like Christmas costumes. The covers include logos, titles, and photographs of women, some with tattoos, in different poses and settings.

Community Events & Fundraising

The Inkredible Foundation became much more than a charity. Through fundraising events, wellbeing activities and social gatherings, members came together to celebrate their journeys, support one another and raise awareness for causes close to their hearts.

From charity calendars and cabaret nights to quiz evenings, mindfulness sessions and community meet-ups, every event helped strengthen the connections that made the charity so special.

These events not only raised vital funds but also gave participants the opportunity to build confidence, create friendships and be part of something bigger than themselves.

A Community To Be Proud Of

Since its formation in 2023, The Inkredible Foundation has supported individuals through scar cover-up tattooing, community projects, fundraising events and peer support.

What began as a simple desire to help people feel more comfortable in their own skin has grown into an award-winning charity recognised both nationally and internationally. Along the way, incredible friendships have been formed, confidence has been rebuilt and countless stories have been shared.

The Foundation has always been about far more than tattoos. It is about helping people feel seen, understood and supported, while creating a community built on kindness, courage and connection.

I remain incredibly proud of everything that has been achieved so far and deeply grateful to every volunteer, supporter, fundraiser, trustee, artist and community member who has been part of the journey.
