I’m Kate, an artist, specialist tattooist and founder of The Inkredible Foundation. My work focuses on creating bespoke scar and body art tattoos in a safe, supportive and collaborative environment where every client feels heard, respected and safe.

Welcome,

Art has always been a huge part of my life. Before becoming a tattoo artist, I worked professionally as an artist for over a decade, creating bespoke artwork and exhibiting both nationally and internationally. Creativity became not only my career, but also a way of processing life, emotion and connection.

After becoming disabled in my mid-twenties, my own experiences with body image, confidence and scarring gave me a very personal understanding of how deeply people can feel disconnected from their bodies. During my own journey, I struggled to find a safe and understanding environment where I felt comfortable seeking tattoo work to cover my scars — and that experience stayed with me.

Tattooing began as something deeply personal, but over time it grew through word of mouth, trust and community. I discovered a passion not only for creating artwork, but for helping people reconnect with themselves through collaborative, meaningful tattooing.

Today, I specialise in bespoke scar and body art tattoos, working closely with each client to create custom pieces that reflect their individuality, comfort and personal story. My approach is centred around compassion, creativity and creating a safe, welcoming space for everybody who walks through my door.

My Journey,

Two women with blonde hair and glasses are working on a tattoo on a person's leg inside a tattoo studio. The studio has a window with a view of brick buildings, and shelves filled with supplies and books are visible in the background.
Two women sharing a close moment, one young with braided hair and tattoos, and an older woman with gray hair, both with eyes closed and smiling.

Creating a Safe Space,

.“Creating a safe, compassionate environment is just as important to me as the artwork itself.”

I know how vulnerable it can feel to trust somebody with your body, your scars and your story. That understanding shapes everything about the way I work.

As somebody living with disability and chronic health challenges myself, creating a calm, supportive and accessible environment has always been incredibly important to me. My studio is designed to be a welcoming space where people feel comfortable being themselves without fear of judgement or pressure.

Many of the people I work with have experienced trauma, illness, surgery, loss of confidence or long journeys with their bodies. Every consultation is approached with patience, collaboration and care, allowing each client to move at a pace that feels right for them.

No two people — or tattoos — are ever the same. My goal is always to create artwork that not only complements the body physically, but helps somebody reconnect with themselves emotionally too.

Every piece I create is deeply personal.

I specialise in bespoke scar and body art tattoos, including mastectomy tattoos, surgical scars, burn scars and other forms of body restoration through decorative artwork.

My approach is collaborative and client-led. Some people come to me wanting to reclaim confidence after illness, surgery or trauma, while others simply want to reconnect with themselves and their bodies in a new way.

There is no “one style fits all” approach here. Every design is created with care, creativity and consideration for the individual person behind it.

Healing — emotionally and physically — is always at the centre of the process.

Charity and Voluntary Work

Logo for The Inkredible Foundation with a smiley face, black background, red and white text.

Founded in 2023, The Inkredible Foundation was created from the voluntary work I had already been doing within the scar and breast cancer community. What began as simply wanting to help people feel more comfortable and confident in their bodies grew into an award-winning mental health charity focused on connection, healing and support.

The foundation offers free scar cover-up tattoos alongside emotional support, community connection and a safe, understanding environment for people navigating life after surgery, illness, trauma and scarring. Over the years, we have supported people from across the UK, helping them reconnect with confidence, identity and self-esteem through creativity, compassion and collaboration.

I understand how personal this journey can be, and how much trust it takes to reach out. My aim has always been to create work with compassion, honesty and collaboration, while making every person who walks through my door feel safe, heard and respected.

I truly believe tattoos can be about far more than ink on skin — they can be about confidence, identity, healing and connection.”
